Case Study Seven - Essex

Case Study Seven - Essex

Adaptation and Extension to Existing Property

The property is a 1960’s two storey detached suburban family home on a narrow plot with minimal side access.

The stepped rear of the property was extended following the same profile within Permitted Development parameters.

The original semi-spiral staircase was replaced with a contemporary staircase allowing unrestricted access to an open plan kitchen/dining area and seating area with wheelchair access to a garden terrace.

The development also includes a hydrotherapy pool, spa, and assisted changing room with an inter-connected ceiling hoist serving each facility.

The integral double garage and original kitchen were converted and adapted to provide a bedroom for the client with an assisted bathroom/shower room and carer’s facilities.
